11/01/2019: Renewals (RPLS/LSLS & Surveying Firms)

Online renewals are currently available through our online services. For more information and instruction, please visit our renewals page.

RPLS/LSLS Renewals Surveying Firm Renewals

Renewal via mail will require an invoice. The board will mail all licensees and firms an invoice. Invoices will be required with any check or money order renewal payments sent via mail.

We understand that past renewals (via mail) did not require an invoice. However, we do appreciate your patience and participation with this new process.

8/20/2019: We’ve moved

On June 16, 2019, Governor Greg Abbott signed a historic piece of legislation that will merge the regulation of the practices of engineering and land surveying into one board. Effective September 1, 2019, HB1523 creates the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors (TBPELS). Work on the merger of the engineering and surveying boards is well underway.

All land surveyor functions will be moving to the new location at TBPELS the first week of September. September 2nd we will be closed for Labor Day. On September 3rd, we’ll start the moving process. We will do our best to get back online as quickly as possible, but correspondence via mail, email, or telephone may be slow during the transition. The goal is to be fully operational again Monday, September 9, 2019.

After September 1, 2019 all mail should be sent to the new TBPELS address. If you are sending something and you anticipate it arriving on or around September 1st, please use this address:
