Important information about Continuing Education Requirements:
- In order to renew licensure, a surveyor must have 12 continuing education credits/hours by December 31. These must include a minimum of 3 credits/hours over the Act/Rules and/or Ethics.
- Surveyors are required to maintain a record of their own continuing education. The Board no longer maintains a record of licensee continuing education.
- After renewal, five percent of the population will be audited and required to provide continuing education certificates.

The mission of the Texas Board of Professional Land Surveying is to protect the residents of Texas by regulating, licensing and renewing the licenses of only competent surveyors; surveyors able to provide accurate surveys which will result in the orderly use of our physical environment.
