Is my attendance badge sufficient proof?
No. Be certain to obtain a Certificate of Attendance if you go to a conference or take a course. Without this document, we cannot give you Continuing Education credit. Your certificate must show:
- your name;
- subject of the conference or course (the subject must match with what the Board rules require),
- break-out sessions you attended (if a conference);and
- number of approved Continuing Education credits earned.
A certificate that says “23d Annual Technological Brouhaha” tells us very little about whether you walked through an exhibit hall or whether you sat through an 8-hour course on GIS advancements and their implications on land surveying.
